# Shipping Policy

Samurai TCG ships authentic Japanese trading cards worldwide from Tokyo, Japan. Please read this Shipping Policy carefully before placing an order.
## Processing Time
Orders are processed and shipped within **2–5 business days** after payment confirmation. Orders placed on weekends, Japanese public holidays, or during peak sales periods may experience slight delays.
## Shipping Methods
We ship internationally using the following trusted carriers:
- **FedEx International Priority** (recommended for high-value orders)
- **EMS (Express Mail Service) by Japan Post**
- **Japan Post Small Packet / ePacket** (for low-value items where available)
The available shipping method for your order depends on destination country, package weight, and order value. Shipping options will be displayed at checkout.
## Estimated Delivery Time
Delivery time is counted from the date of shipment (not the order date):

**Delivery times are estimates provided by the carrier and are NOT guaranteed.** Customs inspections, local postal delays, weather events, and holidays may affect actual delivery time. Samurai TCG is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, customs, or any third party.
## Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination, weight, and shipping method selected. Customers are responsible for shipping costs unless otherwise stated in a specific promotion.
## Signature Requirements for High-Value Orders
Orders with a total value of **USD $500 or more** may be shipped with **Direct Signature Required** at our discretion for the security of the customer and seller. This means the carrier will require a signature from the recipient (or an adult at the delivery address) at the time of delivery. Please ensure someone is available to receive the package.
For orders under $500, packages may be left at the customer's address without signature depending on the carrier's standard delivery procedures.
## Customs, Duties, and Import Taxes (DDU — Delivered Duty Unpaid)
**All international orders are shipped DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid).** This means:
- **Import duties, customs fees, VAT, GST, and any other taxes are NOT included** in the product price or shipping cost displayed at checkout.
- **The customer is solely responsible** for all customs clearance, duties, and taxes imposed by their destination country. These must be paid to the carrier or local customs authority upon arrival.
- **Refusal to pay customs fees** will result in the package being returned, destroyed, or held by customs. In such cases, Samurai TCG is NOT responsible for any loss, and no refund will be issued.
- Customers should check their local import regulations and costs before placing an order.
## Delivery Confirmation and Customer Responsibility
- All shipments include tracking numbers, which are provided via order confirmation email.
- **Once the carrier marks a package as "Delivered"**, the customer assumes full responsibility for the item.
- For packages delivered without a signature requirement, the customer is responsible for securing the delivery location. We recommend using a secure address or arranging pickup if the standard delivery location is unsafe.
- **Damage or loss occurring AFTER delivery confirmation is NOT the responsibility of Samurai TCG**, and no refund or replacement will be provided for such cases.
## Lost or Missing Packages
If your package has not arrived within the estimated delivery window AND tracking shows no recent movement:
1. Contact us at **support@samuraitcg.shop** with your order number.
2. We will investigate with the carrier and open an official investigation if necessary.
3. Carrier investigations may take 14–30 days to complete.
4. If the package is confirmed lost by the carrier, we will issue a full refund or replacement per our Refund Policy.
**Note:** We cannot consider a package "lost" until the carrier's investigation is complete.
## Incorrect Address
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address. If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect address, unclaimed delivery, or refused package:
- The customer will be responsible for any additional shipping costs to reship the package.
- If the customer chooses not to reship, a refund will be issued minus the original shipping cost and a 15% handling fee.
## Damaged Packages in Transit
If your package arrives with visible exterior damage, please:
1. **Record an unboxing video** BEFORE opening the package showing the damaged exterior.
2. **Take photos** of the damaged outer packaging.
3. Contact us at **support@samuraitcg.shop within 48 hours** of delivery with the video, photos, and order number.

## Packaging
All cards are shipped with protective packaging:
- High-value cards ($50 USD or more): Protective sleeve + rigid top-loader + padded envelope or box
- Standard cards: Protective sleeve + top-loader
- Multiple cards: Grouped and secured to prevent movement during transit
Pre-shipment photos are taken of high-value cards for our internal records and dispute resolution purposes.
